SAINT TERESA HOSPITAL MERU VISIT

St. Teresa Hospital from Meru visited Mbagathi Hospital for a benchmarking exercise on the Newborn Unit (NBU), following similar visits by Kiambu Referral, Pumwani,Nyeri Referral and Kajiado Hospitals. The team was warmly received by Dr. Ericah Koima (Med Sup), Mrs. Agnes Mwageroki (HAO), Dr. Beatrice Mwangi (Dep. Med Sup), and Mrs. Lynette Kinara (NSM), fostering valuable exchange on neonatal care best practices.

NURSES WEEK CELEBRATION

Nurses Week was joyfully celebrated today at Mbagathi Hospital, proudly sponsored by the hospital. The CEO Dr. Alex Irungu delivered a heartfelt appreciation and message of honor & reflection from H.E. Governor Sakaja and the CECM Ms. Susan Silantoi commending the nurses for their unwavering dedication and selfless service to the people of Nairobi. The great nurses renewed their noble pledge with exemplary covenant to continue service to humanity and make Nairobi work. The County Chief Nurse Madam Soi, CEO Pumwani Hospital Christine Kiteshuo,CEO Mutuini Mr Fred Obwanda and Dr Oda, Head of Primary Healthcare, Madam Felister Musyoka graced the occasion alongside distinguished nursing staff of the County.

RACHAEL K FOUNDATION KIND DONATION

Rachael K Foundation made a donation of 5 crutches, 2 walking frames, 3 stethoscopes, and 3 BP machines to Mbagathi Hospital. They have also pledged to provide additional wheelchairs and BP machines soon. We commend their continued support and commitment to improving healthcare for the needy.
Present were the Hospital Med.Sup Dr.Ericah Koima ,NSM Lynette Kinara and other members of staff.

HAND HYGIENE DAY OBSERVED

Mbagathi Hospital IPC Committee observed WHO HAND HYGIENE DAY..
They handed over four permanent Hand washing stations to the hospital.

SIGHT SAVERS AND KENYA SOCIETY FOR THE BLIND VISIT

Partners from Sight Savers and the Kenya Society for the Blind visited Mbagathi Hospital to strengthen collaboration on refractive error interventions. They are establishing a fully equipped optical shop at the Eye Unit. The team was hosted by CEO Dr. Alex Irungu, alongside Dr. Brenda Walaba, Nairobi County Ophthalmologist, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Ericah Koima.
