Our Specialist Clinics

  • Eye Clinic

    Our eye specialists diagnose and treat various conditions and diseases of the eye from routine eye exams to surgery.

    Our services include:

    • Eye Surgery
    • Eye Disease Diagnosis
    • Glasses Prescription
    • Disability Assessment


    Monday – Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm

  • Medical Outpatient Clinic (MOPC)

    The MOPC deals with treatment of non-communicable diseases.

    Our MOPC includes:

    • Diabetic Clinic: Aims to promote self-management for patients while minimizing the risk of developing diabetes-related complications by offering Medication, Nutrition and Counselling to patients.
    • Heart Clinic: Which offers treatment of heart conditions with the full range of diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions.
    • Hypertension Clinic: Offering diagnosis, treatment and management of high blood pressure conditions.


    Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • Surgical Outpatient Clinic (SOPC)

    The SPOC deals with review of preoperative and post operative patients.


    Wednesday: 8:00am to 2:00pm

  • Gynaecology/Outpatient Clinic (GOPC)

    Our G/OP Clinic addresses complex issues related to fertility, pregnancy, and birth. The G/OP Clinic deals with diagnosis, treatment and management of all gynecological cases.


    Monday – Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm

  • Maternal Child Heath Clinic

    The Maternal Child Heath Clinic in collaboration with NHIF’s Linda Mama Initiative offers all pre and post natal health services. These include:

    • Ante natal Care
      • Antenatal profile
      • Preventive services
      • Prevention of Mother to Child transmission (PMTCT)
    • Post natal Care:  Comprises of at least four focused personalized visits or assessments after birth to at least 6 months post-natal which include;
      • Immunization
      • Treatment or referral of any conditions (e.g. HIV) or complications for mother and child
      • Screen for cervical cancer, Sexually transmitted infections, Tuberculosis for mother
      •  Family Planning by method of choice

    Our MCHC also offers Nutritional Counselling during pre and post natal periods.

  • Comprehensive Care Clinic (CCC)

    Our Comprehensive Care Clinic provides diagnosis and management of HIV cases.

    Services include:

    • Psychological and Nutritional Counselling
    • Administration of Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs)


    Monday – Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm

  • Renal Clinic


    Monday – Friday: 8:00am to 2:00pm

  • Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic


    Monday – Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm

As Kenya continues making strides towards promoting Universal Health Coverage, Mbagathi County Hospital is at the forefront of ensuring the program’s success.

As part of its UHC initiative, Mbagathi Hospital offers FREE MEDICAL SERVICES to the following groups of people:

  • Inmates
  • Road Traffic Accident (RTA) victims
  • Homeless persons such as street families
  • Domestic Violence victims
  • All children under 5 years of age
